About Kristi

Mrs. Villanueva believes she is the best candidate to represent the entire community of district 2. Her strong commitment to small and minority-owned businesses, safer neighborhoods and fiscal responsibility has been evident through her work as a chamber of commerce President/CEO.

As the city council’s appointment to the VIA Metropolitan Transit board, Kristi demonstrated tenacity as she fought for and helped deliver millions of dollars for public transportation. Her personal character and honesty were acknowledged when named a member of the city’s Ethics board in 2018.

Her decision to undertake this campaign was driven by the obvious needs of the district, the lack of positive growth, and the absence of effective leadership. Kristi’s number one commitment is that she will be the voice of all constituents. While she may lead with tenacity her voice is based on her ability to listen to the people she represents. As the daughter of a single mother and proud parent herself, her commitment to family values and her faith is what has carried her through the most difficult times.

Kristi is quoted saying, “My experience with your support…Together, we can move beyond the existing community division, preserve history and unify our voices for a better way of life.”

Mrs. Villanueva invites everyone living in the district to reach out and share your concerns by emailing kgv@kristivillanueva.com or calling 210-595-9374

Top three priorities as a City Council Member would be:

My top three priorities as a City Council Member would be infrastructure improvements, public safety, and economic development. These items are intertwined; the built environment (including streetlights) influences crime rates, as does economic opportunity

I am a Community Advocate

My Experience comes from being an advocate in the community, representing the entire city on the VIA Metropolitan board as an appointee on the board of ethics, and as an appointee on a number of different boards throughout the city.

Each of the decisions that I made impacted positively community members, business leaders, and others.

Let me be here for you and share my experience.

I need your voice to make sure that this community goes much further!
